The Oath of the Vayuputras is a 2013 novel by Indian author Amish Tripathi and the last book in his Shiva trilogy. The book was released on 27 February 2013 through Westland Press and complements the mythological story about Meluha, a fictional land and how its inhabitants were saved by a nomad named Shiva.In the third and final episode, The Oath of the Vayuputras, the story begins with the end of 'The Secret of the Nagas'. In this, Shiva realizes that the fact that Somaras is the root of all problems. Therefore Shiva wields war against those who consume Somaras. Especially Daksha and Dileep who are under the control of Bhrigu. Shiva goes to Paritha to approach Vayuputra for war. But by the end of the war, Sati's wife Sati is killed. In anger, Shiva destroys Meluha and Somaras. In this way, Somaras and Mekuha were forever erased from history.
